wnyrcfl.org is home of the Western New York Regional Community Football League — 18 community teams, 1,200+ players, youth flag to adult tackle. Friday lights, Saturday youth jamborees, Sunday flag showdowns. This is Rust Belt football at its loudest.
Founded in 1998 on a snow-covered field behind South Park High School in Buffalo, the Western New York Regional Community Football League (WNYRCFL) started with 4 teams and borrowed jerseys. Today we run the largest volunteer-powered football network between Erie and Monroe counties.
We are tackle, flag, youth, high-school prep, women's flag and 35+ masters. We maintain 12 fields, train 140 certified coaches, provide scholarships, equipment libraries and free Friday clinics. If you live in WNY and love football — you have a home here.
Six divisions across Buffalo, Lackawanna, West Seneca, Niagara Falls, Tonawanda and Rochester. Flag is non-contact and perfect for beginners. Tackle is full pads with certified coaching.

Youth flag $45 • Youth tackle $120 (scholarships available) • Adult flag $65/player • Adult tackle $180. Includes jersey, fields, refs, trainers, end-of-season banquet. Payment plans + sibling discounts.
No. 60% of our flag players never played before. We hold evaluation nights, teach basics in week 1-2, and place you by age, size and comfort. Tackle has a 2-week no-contact intro camp.
Flag: cleats + mouthguard (we provide jerseys & flags). Tackle: we loan helmets, shoulder pads, pants via our equipment library — you bring cleats, mouthguard and girdle. Financial aid covers everything if needed.

Yes! Girls flag 12-17 is our fastest growing league, plus all youth flag 6-10 is co-ed. Adult flag has open, women's and co-ed brackets.
Hit Join, choose Volunteer. Free background check + USA Football training. High-schoolers can earn service hours as junior coaches. Refs paid $25-45/game after 1-day clinic.
